Historical Novels:
As we all know Indian society is classified into 4 VARNAs. Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra. Most of the historical novels are based on the tales of Kshatriyas; merely all the VARNA's folk also are weaved very perfectly there.
The challenge faced when writing a historical novel is you must stick to the real historical events in an hand and on the other you also have to make it legible and enjoyable. It requires great writing skills and of way a very deep & tough research of history.
Kshatriya can further classified into 3 streams
1. Suryavansh
2. Chandravansh
3. Agnivansh
The book "ShauryaPratapi Chandravansh" must be labeled on the top of all the hsitorical novels by late shri harilal upadhyay. It can be considered as the encyclopedia of chandravansh. It covers the historical & social memorabilia from very archaic era to the modern time (in regards of chandravansh of course).
And of course it definitely doesn't average other books are fewer in quality by any manner.
Here is the list of some of hist books which belongs to Chandravansh / Kshatriyas of Gujarat
