The first sewing machine I purchased for myself was a long time ago and it was a Singer Sewing Machine.? It was an upgrade from the one that Mom taught me on but by today's standards leaves a lot to be desired.? I guess I take after my Mom in that I am still using that machine.? It just won't give up but when it does I am going to get a Viking Sewing Machine that is like Mom's.? It's awesome and can do so much more than mine.? If I wasn't such a penny pincher,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I'd have one now.
I love to sew.? It allows my creative side to come out and shine.? It's never been easier to be creative with machine sewing than it is today.? With the technology that is available today, you are only limited by your imagination.? You can get sewing machines that do a little or you can get sewing machines that do almost anything.? The fact that today's machines are computerized,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], programs can be written and added to machines that can do some incredible things.
My Mom taught me to sew (many years ago) on a Singer sewing machine.? That machine is gone now but I think my Mom used it for probably 40 or more years.? It was very limited as to what it could do but my Mom could do some pretty cool stuff with it.? She made a lot of clothes for the family,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], especially us 3 kids.? I am sure it saved my parents a lot of money over the years.

Today my Mom has a Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machine and she absolutely loves it.? She still sews clothes but not as much as she used to.? She has more fun doing all kinds of really creative things.? Things she didn't really have time to do when we were kids.? She has made all kinds of toys for the grandkids and has done some fantastic machine quilting.? She prefers to machine stitch the quilt pieces together and then does the actual quilting by hand most of the time.? I,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], on the other hand, prefer to machine stitch everything.? I do not have the patience to hand stitch.? I wish I did but ... oh well.
