New York style baseball expanded into one national game and baseball first governing body The National Association of Base Ball Players was established aided by the Civil War in 1860s. The NABBP existed as an amateur league for 12 years. It’s the ninth straight home win for the Mets and takes the series from the Giants.
K-Rod pitched pretty well in the ninth and tenth innings. they did give up 2 walks and has one 1.15 WHIP,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which is one little higher than you’d like to see from one top of the line closer.
Johan Santana recovered nicely from their horrible start in Philly. they went 7.2 IP giving up 4 ER. But it should have been 3. Fernando Nieve and Pedro Feliciano relieved Santana in the eighth and both gave up hits without getting an out.
