CompuPacific provides coordination and promotional support as assistant organizer of the sixth Global Sourcing Summit, a Nov. 10-11 conference in Xi'an, China. The event is expected to attract about 200 technology officers, financial specialists, operations managers,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], global supply chain executives and CEOs from Asia, the Pacific Rim, Europe and North America.
As an advanced provider,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], CPI is hosting a financial services forum on the second day, when company President Michael Liu delivers a presentation at the Shangri-La Hotel event. He will discuss Banking and Credit Card BPO Solutions by using a CPI project case study,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and will comment on expanding opportunities for financial industry sourcing in China and globally.
CPI has supported the annual gathering since it began in Xi'an, a technology and business hub where the company serves global clients from Xi'an Software Park. Attendees will have a chance to tour that center before the conference.
This year's theme is "New Opportunities for the Changing World,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," with a program focusing on mobile Internet applications, call center development, contract research,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], software services, "cloud computing" and open-source programs. The national government supports the event and will be represented by officials from the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Ministry of Science and Technology. Co-sponsors are the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals and the IDC advisory firm.
Xi'an, a provincial capital designated as an information technology and outsourcing development zone, has about 800 outsourcing enterprises with 70,000 employees. The city also is an education center with dozens of universities.
