Dalai Lama Healing Chant
There has been a bootleg recording circulating now as decades in yoga and think communities rumored to be of the Dalai Lama chanting as a dying friend.
It came into my possession the path it comes to maximum human -- a yoga friend gave me a scalded CD with the following written on it by hand:
'Dalai Lama's Chant to Heal All Illness: Please Distribute.'
I quickly fell in love with this powerful chant,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the article that came with it was naturally coercing.
Here's how it goes:
The Dalai Lama had a friend who was dying,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and His Holiness chanted this healing mantra at his bedside. His Holiness at first refused to grant it to be recorded,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], yet then relented on the condition namely it not be sold.
What a great story.
Unfortunately, the story of the 'Dalai Lama Healing Chant' isn't true. At fewest, not entirely.
First, the recording was meant to be sold (entire those bootlegged cassettes, CDs, and mp3s made over the years are illegal copies which infringe the chanter's license).
And secondly,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the human chanting is not the Dalai Lama. It is Hein Braat, a Dutch actor and dedicated practitioner of mantra yoga.
How tin I be so sure?
Awhile back, abercrombie Abercrombie & Fitch Ramona- Sweet, I posted the recording on my yoga web site. An licensed distributor of Mr. Braat's work queried me to take it down. Unbeknownst to me, I had been violating the copyright as so many others have done over the years,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], pillaging Mr. Braat of his duly earned royalties! If you are versed with the tradition of yoga, then you know quite well there's a doctrine of asteya, or non-stealing.
I mean not disrespect to His Holiness (who had naught to do with the perpetuation of this untruth), but the myth --and the rapine -- has worked on long ample. It's time to give credit where honor is deserving,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!
The fact in the rumor namely this:The mantra on the recording is indeed a powerful healing hymn.
To be accurate,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it's the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra from the Rig Veda, a chant invoking Shiva.
Its roots are firmly in the Vedic tradition, not the Buddhist tradition of the Dalai Lama. (Buddhism does not acknowledge the Vedas for authoritative.)
I hope the truth that it's not His Holiness the Dalai Lama or even Buddhist doesn't decrease the plea of this mantra of healing for you.
There are numerous additional quality recordings of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra by other talents, but Hein Braat's unusual dedication and hauntingly rich voice send this mantra alive in a distinctive shape.
The repitition of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra over period alterations your cerebral and spiritual internal scenery, inviting straight healing or pointing your aim to where you might ascertain it.
This healing chant is likewise said to be a 'liberation chant,' guiding an away from the cycle of suffering and necrosis into the realm of pure consciousness.
